Adresses

During the day there are two main event venues which are within walking distance of each other. One of them is the vocational school (“Gewerbeschule” (G2)), located at the corner of Bundesstraße and Beim Schlump.
Adress: Gewerbeschule Installationstechnik (G2), Bundesstr. 58, 20146 Hamburg.

The second event venue is in the commercial school Schlankreye (“Handelsschule Schlankreye”). Adress: Staatliche Handelsschule Schlankreye, Schlankreye 1, 20144 Hamburg.

The gymnasiums to sleep are also within walking distance from both of the event venues.

The venue of the evening program is the university’s cafeteria, which is located between “Grindelallee“ and the corner of “Schlüterstraße” and Johnsallee.

The Youth Hostel is located in the district „Horn“. Address: JH Horner Rennbahn, Rennbahnstr. 100, 22111 Hamburg.

 

Getting there by Train and Tube

The public transport in Hamburg is called “HVV”. The official english website of the HVV is www.hvv.de/en, where you can find bus and train schedules, personal timetables and line and route network plans with symbols at stations suitable for wheelchairs.

Day-Schedule
Take the U2 (red line) and get out at the station “SCHLUMP“. The U2 is also the line for the Central Station and as well as the Youth-hostel, for which you need to get out at the station “Horner Rennbahn”.

From SCHLUMP TUBE STATION to the venue of the Day Schedule
Walk: Just 5 minutes' walk (about 500 m) from tube station.

You may also go one stop by bus to both of the day event venues. To the vocational school (“Gewerbeschule” (G2) : Take the Bus No.15 (heading to “Alsterchausse” ) or Bus No. 4 (to Hauptbahnhof/ZOB or Marco-Polo-Terrassen).

The closest stop to the event venue is called “Bundesstraße”. To find the both of the bus-stops you have to leave the tube-station “Schlump” on the right-handed side. To bus No. 15 you have to cross the street (traffic light). Bus No 4 departs from the entrance of the tube station.

To the commercial school “Schlankreye” you may also take the bus No 4 (to “Wildacker”), or bus No 181 (to “Niendorfer Gehege”). Leave the bus at the stop “Schlankreye”.

Important Information
Due to construction work the subway line 3 (the yellow coloured line on the route network plan), the train traffic will be interrupted between “Baumwall” and “Rathausmarkt”. During the event the U3 does not go from the central station to “Schlump”, as neither of these stations will be served by this line. Hence avoid the U3 during the event.

More detailed information to the busses
All buses in the urban area of Hamburg are low-floor kneeling busses. For people that use wheelchairs the bus-drivers will provide assistance with the ramp. The ramp either works mechanically or electronically.
The bus stop for the venue is about 50 meters from the handicapped accessible entrance of the vocational school “G2”.

Buses No 4, 15 and 181 all stop at the tube station “Schlump” on the tube line “U2”. Bus No 4 alo stops at “Hauptbahnhof”, “Dammtor“, “Bundesstraße“, “ Schlump“, “Schlankreye“, the tube station “Osterstraße“ and terminates in „Eidelstedt“. Bus No 15 stops at “Altona”, “Sternschanze”,”Schlump”, “Bundesstraße” and continues on to the subway station “Hallerstraße“. Bus No 181 stops at “Sternschanze”, “ Schlump“, “Schlankreye“, the tube station “Hagenbecks Tierpark” and terminates in “Niendorfer Gehege”.

Evening programme

Bus No 4 goes from the schools to the evening program (two stations from the vocational School G2). The station is called “Staatsbibliothek”.

To walk it takes 15min.

Bus No 5 goes from the central station “Hauptbahnhof” to the bus-stop “Staatsbibliothek”, passing “Dammtor” on the way.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday the subway (U and S-trains) as well as buses No 4 and 5 operate 24 hours a day.

Youth hostel

Closest underground station is: “Horner Rennbahn“, Line U2.
